1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Merchant", "you", or "your") and ALHAN CyberSecurity ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your installation and use of the Ancile security monitoring application ("Ancile" or "the App").

By installing Ancile from the Shopify App Store or utilizing the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Description of the Service

Ancile is a security and fraud monitoring application designed for Shopify stores. The App operates embedded inside the Shopify admin via Shopify App Bridge. It reads transactional, storefront, and dispute signals already reported by Shopify, evaluates them against 21 risk rules, surfaces severity-ranked alerts, maintains IP blocklists, and conducts automated storefront theme and DNS configuration scans.

Ancile requests read-only API scopes exclusively and declares no write permissions. The App does not alter, edit, or delete store orders, product catalogs, customer profiles, or inventory.

3. Merchant Eligibility and Responsibilities

To install and use Ancile, you represent and warrant that:

• You are an authorized administrator of the Shopify store on which the App is installed.
• You possess legal authority to bind the store operating entity to these Terms.
• You will maintain the confidentiality and security of your Shopify merchant account credentials.
• Your use of Ancile complies with all applicable laws and Shopify's Terms of Service.

4. Subscriptions, Trials, and Shopify Billing

Shopify Billing API: All fees for paid Ancile subscription plans (Plus, Pro, Max) are processed exclusively through the Shopify Billing API. All subscription charges appear directly on your regular Shopify invoice. Ancile never collects, processes, or stores your credit card details or payment method credentials.

14-Day Free Trial: All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You may cancel your subscription at any time during the trial period via your Shopify admin without incurring any charges.

Billing Cycles & Annual Billing: Subscriptions recur automatically on a 30-day monthly or annual basis (which includes two months free). Charges recur at the beginning of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to renewal.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the Ancile app settings or through your Shopify admin (Settings > Apps and sales channels > Ancile > Uninstall / Change Plan). Upon cancellation, access to paid tier limits continues until the end of the paid billing cycle, after which the account transitions to the Free plan or terminates upon uninstallation.

Refunds: Because billing is managed by Shopify, refund inquiries are evaluated pursuant to Shopify's app billing policies. If you believe a billing discrepancy occurred, contact us at info@alhansecurity.com with your shop domain and Shopify invoice details.

5. Service Availability and Support Expectations

Ancile is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to maintain high availability and prompt incident processing, ALHAN CyberSecurity does not provide a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA), guaranteed uptime percentage, or guaranteed response time under standard plans unless agreed upon under a separate written enterprise agreement.

6. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

Monitoring Tool Disclaimer: Ancile is an automated monitoring and risk-scoring tool designed to assist merchants in identifying suspicious signals. Ancile does not guarantee the prevention of all fraudulent orders, chargebacks, account compromises, or theme skimmers. The final decision to fulfill, cancel, or refund an order rests solely with the merchant.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ALHAN CyberSecurity, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App.

Liability Cap: In no event shall ALHAN CyberSecurity's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App exceed the total amount actually paid by you to Ancile in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

7. Data Handling and Termination

You may terminate your use of Ancile at any time by uninstalling the application from your Shopify admin or by clicking "Disconnect Store" within the App dashboard.

Upon uninstallation, Shopify dispatches a mandatory shop/redact webhook. Upon receipt, Ancile immediately halts monitoring and permanently purges your store record, risk rule configurations, IP blocklists, and historical event logs from our database in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law principles.

Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
